Yamaha had recently launched its new direct drive pedals.
As from what I've heard so far, they seem to be good value for money.
What is your take on it?
Anyone who could give a review on it?
Heres the pedal

I bought the model those replace (for less than half the price). I like them a lot, but I don't claim to be a bass speed demon. These are the first DD pedal I've put any real time on. They are very light feeling (like other DD pedals). At first it is easy to accidental get double hits out of them.

From what I've read, the new pedals have a double-sided beater, they changed the hoop clamp to the typical "wing nut" style of tightening, and redesigned the carry case. Other than those minor changes, they appear to have the same basic design. All in all, I think the DFP-9415 is a much better value. I'm not crazy about the old school felt beaters so I bought Iron Cobra beaters for mine, which makes them even faster and lighter. Either way, if you like DD, they seem well made, very adjustable, and a good deal for less than most other DD pedals.

DFP-9415 for $199

Here are mine with the replacement IC beaters:

I'm thinking of getting those ones. I can't decide between DW 7000 or The yamaha one. I hope my music store has them so I can try them out.

Personally, I've been thinking about purchasing the Gibraltar INTRUDER 9611 Direct Drive-Double Base pedal. Any thoughts on those?

Is it Tyler tha has them? Whoever it is, they like 'em and they get good reviews. The Gibraltar footboards are what keep me from trying their stuff. I play barefoot a lot and I can't see how they would be comfy on my feet. Still for $80 less, the Yami's would get my vote.
