These play-alongs are simply awesome! I've downloaded all of the 'rock' ones, and use them on my iPOD. It's cool how you can take the video and audio with your iPOD right to your kit.

Great drummers btw.

Yes, Dean is an amazing drummer with great feel. His band is doing quite well too...they just released their new album. That's where the songs are from.

Hey Man,

Thanks for the props. I'm glad that my playing inspires you just as other have to me. If you have any questions about... well.... anything really, let me know.

Thanks again.

PS: have you had a chance to check out my bands (sterr.ca) whole album? There are some other tunes on there that are pretty sweet.

The sites that you can check out STERR are at:

www.sterr.ca

www.myspace.com/sterr

and our album is available on iTunes, CD Baby and I think you can get it through Railroad Media as well.

I agree with all of you that Dean is one heck of a drummer, alot better than alot of the drummers in well known bands in fact. He has a very unique style and I can see Sterr and him becoming very popular(more popular than they are now) in the near future. Great album too good luck for the future.

Actually, I'm mostly self taught. And it wasn't a stupid question. I took two lessons from Mr Eran Vooys back in the day to learn a basic rock and jazz rhythm and then a few years ago took a half dozen lessons from Mike Michalkow to polish up on technique and moeller. But other than that, it's been all listening and learning on my own.

It's probably due to over usage of the site...The site gets so many drummers downloading stuff it gets quite slow at times...I should work if you try again in a couple of days.

Sorry about that..We are always working to make it quicker.

Dean, awesome vid and great tune, it's growing on me! Can't help cracking a smile when you grin at the camera like this: laugh.gif ...and smash those cymbals at 3mins in.

Go easy with the drumstick on the knee though, you'll give yourself a dead leg smile.gif

Also have to say it's great that you guys put up these vids. Great to see the drummer up close and at different angles.

Great, infectious stuff indeed!
D.

It took me a while to figure out how to download the play alongs. You guys did great at explaining it but i feel you left out a few parts. so to down load it just right click the "green music note" save target as and save it to where you want it and you have it. biggrin.gif
