I'm confused about how I'm suppposed to count for this one. It looks like eighth notes with a triplet shoved in between?

Yes..It is triplet based with an eighth note at the end..Tri-pl-let-&. Try it with just the triplets first..then add the drag..

Something just came to me from my school days..Play it like it sounds..meaning

rat-a-ma-cue..But drag the "r" (roll your tongue).

I agree with DC64. I think if I was counting it, I would go:
1-trip-let-&-2-trip-let-&-3-trip-let-&-4-trip-let-&
with the drag counted as part of the "1", "2", "3", and "4".
Dunno for sure. Maybe Jared or someone else will chime in.
