I might be wrong (kinda hope I am), but he may be just putting "thank you" up on inactive forums to promote his "Cheap drum sets" Amazon store.

Like I said, I could be wrong.

Yes, I thought about that, and have done some checkups on it. I hadn't collected enough info to report it to any of the admins as something, though.

I suppose he could just be very polite, learning a lot, AND own a drum store.

I am very disappointed with my hi-hats because i can't use them 'washy-like' because they sound like tin cans and it has a very, very horrible effect when i try... dry.gif

Well its good to see that Hodgey has brought the discussion back on point; have you tried just barely opening your hats, instead of a completely open hi-hat? Although some hats just don't sound great "sizzling"...unlike bacon which always smells great when sizzling...

Lol sizzling bacon, i was waiting for someone to say something like that laugh.gif

Yeh i have tried that and it kind of works but my top hat (no pun) is on an angle so it isn't quite right and because of the poor quality of cymbals, it doesn't sound all that good.

I like the way my hats sizzle and wash but I've never been real happy with their chick. I've tried adjusting their open distance and the angle of the bottom hat, but no luck so far.

That would be them. BTW, I've also tried changing the rubber/felts (Mapex uses rubber) and how tightly I clamp the top hat.

What A Customs do you have? And what hi-hat stand/machine/pedal do you have? It might be a problem with the chain, or you might have your hats the wrong way around, or... etc.
Gimme the full lowdown. biggrin.gif
